Dr. Christopher Evans is an internal medicine and geriatrics doctor. He is board certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases. He has an additional certification as an HIV specialist from the Academy of HIV Medicine and has a strong interest in HIV primary care and hepatitis C treatment. Dr. Evans also enjoys teaching medical residents and medical fellows in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Chris Fox is a nurse practitioner and educator who is dedicated to caring for people living with HIV or at risk for infection. He has a passion for training future and current HIV workforce members. He has a practice in HIV care at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), and he is the lead clinician for the OHSU Tele-PrEP Program. Fox received his training at the University of California, San Francisco, where he was also faculty in the UCSF School of Nursing’s HIV primary care specialty program. He has previously worked in HIV prevention at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the San Francisco Department of Public Health.

Sugat Patel, MD, FACP

Dr. Patel received his Bachelor of Science degree in BioMedical Engineering at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. Under the US Navy Health Professional Scholarship Program, he attended Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, OH and completed his residency and fellowship training at the Naval Medical Center San Diego in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease, respectively. Dr. Patel has served as the Designated Institution Official at GSRMC since 2006. In addition to his teaching and GME administrative duties, he practices as a General Infectious Disease physician with an interest in Sexually Transmitted Infection, HIV, and Hepatitis C. He currently serves as Chair of the Samaritan Health Services Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and is faculty for the Oregon AIDS Education and Training Center. His new life goal is to end new HIV infections. "Always go big on life goals," he states.

C. Milano, MD

Dr. Milano is an associate professor of Family Medicine in the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) School of Medicine, and Medical Director of the OHSU Transgender Health Program. Dr. Milano cares for patients as a primary care provider at OHSU Richmond Clinic, a federally qualified health center, and staffs OHSU’s Virtual Transgender Health Program Consult Clinic, a novel program that supports patients and primary care providers throughout Oregon in accessing hormone therapy and gender affirming care. Originally hailing from San Francisco, Dr. Milano received a medical degree from the University of California at San Francisco, and went on to complete a residency and clinical leadership fellowship with OHSU’s Department of Family Medicine, and has been training regional and national audiences on the subject of gender-affirming care for over a decade.
